The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department.
The Parts Manager will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, and staff utilization.
Essential Functions of the Parts Manager:
Work with customers, other departments, and managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction Process parts orders for customers and preparing shipping labels and packages Maintain accurate records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receipts May be responsible to pick up parts at various vendor locations Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the company guidelines Ensure that credits are received for returned parts, remove returned parts from inventory after credits are received Provide necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties Submit parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit Collaborating with Service Manager to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs Assist in parts inventory, conduct a perpetual (cycle count) physical inventory of all parts and related items Develop and maintain effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction Maintain all department equipment and tools in good working order Qualifications of the Parts Manager:
Experience with QuickBooks and all Microsoft Office programs Strong computer skills for inventory management and data entry Attention to detail Prior experience in a relevant field in the manufacturing or automotive industry Prior experience with inventory management and basic purchasing practices required Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements of the Parts Manager:
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 100lbs May require extended periods of standing, walking, and bending May require exposure to loud noises, fumes, or chemicals Job Type:
